Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS)’s morning talk show, currently titled, “Kim Seung-hyun and Jeong Eun-a’s Good Morning,” will have its 2000th airing on November 25. In commemoration of the 2000th airing, SBS will televise a special program for two weeks from November 22 until December 2. “Kim Seung-hyun and Jeong Eun-a’s Good Morning” airs every weekday from 9:30 a.m..

This program first started as “Han Sun-kyo’s Good Morning” in October 1996. Jeong Eun-a joined the program as a female host from January 1999. Kim Seung-hyun replaced Han Sun-kyo this January when Han, a sitting legislator of the Grand National Party, declared his candidacy for the general election. Comedian Cho Hyung-gi has been an assisting MC since November 2002 after Roh Sa-yeon, Kang Nam-kil, and Pyo In-bong.

More than 3,000 people have appeared on the show. Actress Eom Aeng-ran has most frequently appeared in the show with 15. TV actress Yoo Ho-jeong was the runner up with 13 times, and Cha In-pyo, Seo Se-won, and Shin Ae-ra were third with seven times each. Before the last presidential election, the wives of the presidential candidates, Roh Moo-hyun, Lee Hoi-chang, Chung Mong-joon, and Kwon Young-ghil, also came and shared their stories in October 2002.

Some of the popular programs of the “Good Morning” are “Shin Jae-yong’s TV handbook of Eastern medicine,” an informative section that tells viewers how to stay healthy by eating right, and “Star Human Theater,” which deals with ordinary aspects of popular stars’ lifestyles. The former debuted in 1999 and is aired about 10 times a year in a series. The latter is televised once a week.

A special program for the 2000th airing will be televised for two weeks from November 22. In the program for November 23, a wedding of Shin Seong-il and Eom Aeng-ran at the Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel will be featured. Shin and Eom had a wedding ceremony in commemoration of their 40th wedding anniversary. They got married at the Sheraton Walker Hill in November, 1964.

With comedian Lee Sung-mi and singer Yang Hee-eun as hosts, “MC Party” will be aired on November 24. All successive assisting MCs will appear and share their stories. On November 25, Cha In-pyo, Park Sang-won, and Jeong Jun-ho, close friends of the male host Kim Seung-hyun, will form a rock band called “Kim Seung-hyun and friends” and sing “What should I do?” together.

Jeon Su-jin, the producer of the program, said that from now on, family, education, and health-related issues will be dealt with more in-depth, and the show will conduct surveys by taking advantage of advanced technologies such as the internet and mobile phones.
