Three men in their 40s with unique characteristics have teamed up to produce a monodrama called ``Statement.``

They are Ha Il-Ji, 48, a novelist who created a stir with novels like the ``The Road to a Race Track`` series and the book on which the monodrama is based; actor/director Park Kwang-Jong, 41; and actor Kang Shin-Il.

Scheduled to be staged at Dongsoong Art Center from Apr. 20 through Jun. 10, ``Statement`` was adapted by Ha from his novel. The play tells the story of a professor who kills his brother-in-law and confesses the crime to a detective. Ha said that through the work, he wanted to deal with human nature, love and the vague borderline between illusion and reality.

The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and at 4 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets cost 20,000 won. For more information call 02-3676-4413.
