U.S. President Donald Trump congratulates himself over his agreement to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, expressing high hopes of successful outcome in the planned meeting.

At a campaign rally for Republican congressional candidate Rick Saccone in Pennsylvania, Saturday (local time), Trump told the crowd he could make the greatest deal for the world, if the meeting takes place. He said he believes North Korea wants to make peace, adding, “I think it’s time.” On his way to the political event, Trump told reporters, “I think North Korea is going to go very well, I think we will have tremendous success.”

“North Korea has not conducted a missile test since Nov. 28, 2017 and has promised not to do through our meeting. I believe they will honor that commitment!” Trump tweeted Saturday. South Korean special delegation who recently sat down with the North Korean leader briefed Trump on Kim’s pledge that North Korea will refrain from any further nuclear or missile tests – a promise Trump believes. In fact, the regime has not conducted any missile test for 102 days since it launched a Hwasong-15 ICBM on Nov. 29.

Trump’s acceptance of an invitation to meet Kim Jong Un shows Trump is convinced he will have more bargaining power than Kim as Trump’s sanctions pushed North Korea to the negotiating table when it has not completed its nuclear development program yet, Fox News reported.
