Veteran avant-gardist Kim Koo-rim said he will file a lawsuit against Federation of Korean Culture Center U.K. head Yong Ho-sung and related curators claiming that the arts exhibition being held by the federation harmed his reputation.

Through a phone interview with the Dong-A Ilbo on Tuesday, Kim said, "My work 'The Meaning of 1/24 Seconds' exhibited at the 'Rehearsal from the Korean Avant-garde Performance Archive' opened at the Korean Culture Center in London on June 27 was introduced as if it was other people's work, severely damaging my reputation."

"Art critic Kim Mi-kyung, who has been at odds with me, wrote a commentary on my ''The Meaning of 1/24 Seconds,' which was introduced at the exhibition leaflet without verification," the artist said. The leaflet read that despite the fact that other artists participated, Kim Koo-rim currently holds the copyright and Kim was the last participant.

"Kim Mi-kyung's commentary had been announced last year at the Museum of Modern Art, or MoMA," Korean Culture Center U.K. said. "We suspended the distribution when Kim Koo-rim raised the issue." However, Kim Koo-rim argued that the image of Korea and Tate Modern Museum that houses ''The Meaning of 1/24 Seconds" were already damaged.
