The 21st Bucheon International Fantastic Movie Festival will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Grass Plaza of Bucheon Municipal Office. The festival has invited 289 films from 58 nations, and is set to end on July 23. Box offices were filled with crowds as ticketing started on July 5.

The organizing committee announced on Sunday that the tickets for Lee Yong-seung's "Room No.7," which was chosen as the opening piece in five years and the closing film "Gintama" directed by Yuichi Fukushima were all sold out in just two minutes. What's more, seats foe around 60 pieces were already unavailable, including Jang Hyun-sang's "Coffee Noir Black Brown," Ihm Heung-soon's "Ryeohaeng," Shunya Ito's "Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion," and Peter Vack's "Assholes."

"Room No.7" is a thriller blended with action, where Shin Ha-gyun as the owner of a failing DVD theater business and a part-timer played by Do Kyung-soo unveils the secret behind the closed door of Room No.7. The closing film "Gintama" is based on a Japanese comic book, which blends samurai action, gags and sci-fi.

The festival also screens genre movies categorized as "Red" for gorey horror or thriller fans and "Blue" for beginners with mild fantasy films. Furthermore, translators offered their nine picks customized to keywords such as love, humor, and music, including "Cafe 6" (Taiwan), "Girl from Yesterday" (Vietnam), and "Are We Not Cats" (the U.S.).

Special Programs also include "Contact, Jeom Do-yeon," which screens 17 films of Korean actress Jeon Do-yeon who played as the leading actress since the 1997 "The Contact," and "Hong Ki-seon: The Cinema Beyond Suppression," which pays tribute to director Hong Ki-seon who passed away this year.
