Korea-China movie starring Lee Min-ho shows huge success in China

"Bounty Hunters," a movie jointly made by Korea and China and starring actor Lee Min-ho, is showing a huge success in China since its release on July 1, having raked in 212.3 million yuan (31.78 million dollars) in ticket sales as of Monday.

Chinese actor Wallace Chung and Lee starred in the movie and director Shin Tae-ra produced the movie that Director Shin Tae-ra directed. This action-comedy film centers around a group of people who travel all over Asia in search of money and mops up criminals that police failed to catch.

"Bounty Hunters" debuted the box office at No. 1 in the first week after its release and topped 200 million yuan (29.94 million dollars) in just 15 days. It is the first time that a movie starring a Korean actor reaped sales of this amount. Among the Korea-China joint produced movie, the No. 1 hit movie was that was a remake of Korean movie "Miss Granny" that garnered 364 million yuan (54.49 million dollars).

"Tic Toc," a Korea-China movie starring actor Lee Jeong-jae, also was released on July 14 and is showing good results, with revenue of 67.27 million yuan (10.07 million dollars). Lee starred as a Korean policeman struggling to prevent terror attacks in Korea and China.
