Talents of children in Mt. Jiri brought a warm breeze to the brutally cold winter weather. The audiences cheered on children singing and dancing on stage.

A large auditorium in the Sancheong Culture and Arts Center, located in Sancheong County, South Gyeongsang Province, served as a venue, at 1 p.m. Friday, for students to perform the musical "La Vie en Rose," based on fast-beat K-Pop music. The subtitle was "I am a K-Pop Star with 10 Days’ Miracle." It was the first-ever English-based musical that deals with K-Pop music.

The musical describes Rose, which Ha Ji-in, in third year of Sancheong Middle School, acts, as a talented girl who comes from economically struggling family. She proposes to perform a K-Pop show. While preparing it, her friends and she regain confidence and find their own way to dream. Her boyfriend Lavien, which Choi Jin-gyu, in third year of Deoksan Middle School, acts, joins the performance. They all shout, “Let’s spread our wings to fly high. Let’s lead a brighter future for rosy life.”

The show was well-received by 500 audiences including Sancheong residents, teaching staff and parents. They gave them a big round of applause. Cho Yoon-hee, in 2nd year at Deoksan Middle School, acts Emma, fascinating the audiences with her dynamic dancing and acting. Many parents recorded the show on the mobile phone.

Kim Chun-kyung, professor of the broadcasting and entertainment department at Dongduk Women's University, leads The Dong-A Ilbo’s popular educational program, titled "Let’s enjoy culture and arts, buddy! – I am a musical star." The 50th year event was co-hosted by South Gyeongsang Office of Education, Sancheong County, Sancheong Office of Education, and The Dong-A Ilbo.
