He was also the goalkeeper of the counterpart team when Ahn Jung-hwan scored the winning golden goal for Korea in the second round of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup. Buffon said, “The second half was quite disappointing, unlike the first half. I don’t understand why. However, Real Madrid stood firm.”
