At the Chapultepec Golf Club in Mexico City on Monday, Johnson at round 4 hit five birdies and two bogies for 3 under par, and with a total 14 under par he beat Tommy Fleetwood by one shot for a reversing victory.

After winning the Genesis Open in PGA Tour on February 20 to rank world No. 1 for the first time, he grabbed his second consecutive win in just two weeks. The latest competition with prize money of 1.66 million dollars is a part of World Golf Championship series, a special event of over 9 million dollars in total award money. Johnson has received 2.85 million dollars in the two competitions, ranking second behind Tiger Woods who grabbed four wins in WGC.

At this year's competition, Dustin Johnson recorded an average driving distance of more than 320 yards, and succeeded in one on with his No. 1 iron at the No. 1 hole in third round to get an eagle. The course is located 2,400 meters above sea, meaning the driving distance is furthered to 20 yards. Johnson sent his tee shot by a maximum of 393 yards.

During the competition, Johnson had showed putting instability due to tough greens. His putt succeeding rate within 3 meters ranked 74th among 76 players, and he failed 16 times in putting within 3 meters. However, he succeeded many times a birdie putting of around 5 meters, and at the last minute overcame the three-putting crisis.
