In the aftermath of the LPGA Tour Honda Thailand competition where Chun In-gee debuted and ended at fourth place, she posted on her fan blog that reads "My goal was to gradually up my pace and I luckily had a better-than-expected outcome. Despite short training time, I was able to strengthen my physical fit." Having won a rookie and recorded the smallest number of hits(Bear Trophy) at last year's LPGA Tour, Chun stepped in a right way and shook off a second year jinx. "Swing motion, the last phase of solving a puzzle, is finally working, and I'm finally beginning to feel right," she said.

As the main sponsor is yet to be decided, Chun will be wearing a hat without a sponsor's logo when she plays at the Sentosa Golf Club's New Tanjong Course, where she will be playing with Park Sung-hyun and Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn in the same team in the first and second rounds. Chun is world No. 3, the highest among Korean female golfers, with Jutanugarn No.2 and Park No. 11. The Singapore competition is Park's LPGA Tour debut stage. Teaming up with Chun, who performed spectacularly at last year's LPGA Tour, Park is expected to offer viewers huge enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, Brittany Lincicome, Yang Hee-young and Jang Ha-na, who grabbed No. 1 rankings in sequence in three competitions last year, have been alotted in the same team.
