U.S. golfer Jordan Spieth has made a comeback with his first PGA Tour victory this season. He fell to No. 6 in the world ranking due to a slump during the latter part of 2016.

Spieth came on top at the PGT Tour AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday (local time) at the Pebble Beach Golf Links, finishing at 19-under 268. He shot a 2-under 70 and putted two birdies with no bogie, beat runner-up Kelly Kraft by four. Spieth had clinched his first PGT Tour victory since the Dean & Deluca Invitational held in May last year.

It was the ninth career victory for the 23-year-old, who became the first player since Tiger Woods to win nine times on the PGA Tour before the age of 24. Woods had 15 wins before he turned 24. Spieth also maintained his upward trajectory, recording under pars in all PGA Tour rounds he played this year. He said he was able to look back on the life of glories and challenges as a golfer during his slump, vowing to work hard to return to the top in the world ranking.
