Park won the first gold medal in golf in 116 years in August, completing a Golden Grand Slam following the acquisition of titles of four majors. "Winning a gold medal in the Olympics was possible due to the efforts of many golf people and fans' support. It is more valuable than any others," Park said. "I want to set up Park In-bee Foundation to help junior golfers." Park has so far donated more than 450 million won (382,815 dollars).
Park has not returned to the field after the Rio Olympics due to finger injury, but said she wants to join the Park In-bee International, a competition between pro female golfers in Korea and abroad, which will be held in Dongrae Benest in Busan from Nov. 25. Park said, "I have resumed round practicing, and want to play as long as condition allows. I will go to Las Vegas at the year-end and prepare for next season's LPGA Tour." Park Se-ri, who was coach for the Rio Olympics, also received an award of 50 million won (42,535 dollars).
