The European preliminaries where the most number of tickets for the 2018 Russia World Cup are allotted, started Monday that will continue for 14 months until November 2017.

Europe's 2018 World Cup qualifiers are the last to proceed among World Cup regional preliminaries that are carried out in six continents. Football fans are keen to see how football powerhouses show off their strengths following the changes in coaches after the Euro competition that ended in July.

England debuted Monday at Group F and beat Slovakia 1-0, starting off A match with a win after the change of its head. After England failed to enter the Euro group of 16, coach Roy Hodgson stepped down and Sam Allardyce was named the new chief.

A total of 13 tickets will be given to the winners, more than double the five of the African continent. If Russia, host country to be automatically qualified, is included, a total of 14 European teams will be participating.
