St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Oh Seung-hwan has geared up to be “the boss of final round” in the Major League as well. In a match against the Milwaukee Brewers at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on Saturday local time, Oh came out in the first half of the ninth inning and struck out two batters and ground ball to preserve a 3-0 victory, picking up his first big league save since his debut in America.

Oh has become the first Korean pitcher who has recorded saves in all three nations of Korea, Japan and America, and the first one in America since Park Chan-ho who recorded a save for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Leagues on August 3, 2008.

Having recorded the highest saves of 277 for Samsung in Korea Baseball Organization, Oh picked 80 saves in Hanshin Tigers in the Nippon Professional Baseball in 2014 and 2015. Before Oh, Shingo Takatsu who used to be in Woori Heroes (currently, Nexen) recorded not only in three nations of Korea, American and Japan but also in Taiwan.
