"Park is running out of time."

That was what MLB.com had to say on Thursday about Park Byung-ho's current status. He has not recovered from his slump, losing chances to play in matches and now being expected to go back to the minor league. Park was absent in the Thursday match with Chicago White Sox and in the previous match. Many American baseball fans are saying that Park should leave the major league.

Park seemed to adjust to the major league successfully, hitting six homers in April, the first month of the season. As his inability to hit fast balls was noticed, however, his performance started declining steadily.

Park's batting average is 0.191, the lowest among the regular batters in the entire league. His batting average in the last seven matches is 0.087, even lower than 0.1. As his poor performance took away his confidence at bat, Minnesota Twins manager Paul Molitor hesitates to appoint him as a batter even though he has hit 12 homers so far, which is the second most in his team.

When asked about the possibility of him being sent back to the minor league, Park replied, "It is entirely up to the team. I have nothing to say. I will accept whatever decision made for me." Unlike Kim Hyun-soo of Baltimore, Park's contract does not allow him to reject when the team decides to send him back to the minor league. Although Molitor noted, "I will help him regain his confidence," the situation of the team, ranking at the lowest in the American League's Central Division, might not give Park much time that he needs to rebound. The final decision on Park will be made when Miguel Sano, the team's best batter, completely recovers from his injury.
