The Orange Life Champions Trophy Park In-bee Invitational will be held at the Blueone The Honors Country Club in Gyeongju for three days starting from Friday. The competition will be participated by South Korea’s star female golfers, who have received a combined 20 billion won in prize money. Thirteen top players in the LPGA of Korea Tour (KLPGA) and another 13 South Korean golfers from the LPGA Tour will compete in two teams.

The KLPGA team has Lee Jeong-eun, the tour’s money leader, and Choi Hye-jin, who clinched both the Rookie of the Year Award and the grand prize. The team’s 13 professional golfers have earned a combined 7.3 billion won in prize this season.

Meanwhile, the LPGA team players have received a combined 12.8 billion won this season. In addition to Park In-bee, the competition’s host, Chun In-gee, Park Sung-hyun, and Ryu So-yeon, overseas Korean golfers including Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee, Danielle Kang, and Jennifer Song will join the event for the first time.

Park Sung-hyun and Chun In-gee, both of whom have earned three titles this season, are expected to draw a great gallery of spectators yet again as they usually do. In the 2015 competition in which Park took part for the first time as the KLPGA team, she recorded two wins and one draw. In a survey of golf fans on a match they look forward to, a match between Park Sung-hyun and Lee Jeong-eun received the most votes.

Park In-bee has made thorough preparations for the event by sending an invitation to fellow golfers by herself and taking care of gifts. “This is an event that can take place only in South Korea, which has world-class female golfers," Park said. "We’ve made efforts to ensure that players, fans, and sponsors can enjoy the event altogether."
