The Houston Astros have won their first World Series victory after going through a “home-run derby” in the bottom of the 11th inning.

Houston pulled off a dramatic comeback by subduing the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-6 in Game 2 of the 2017 World Series, which was held in Los Angeles on Wednesday (local time). Having been on winning streaks at home this fall, the Astros will prepare the next game in Houston with much comfort.

The Wednesday victory also allowed the visitors to break the jinx of the five consecutive losing streaks in the World Series. On the other hand, the bullpen of the Dodgers struggled, putting an end to their record of keeping the team from conceding points for the 25th consecutive inning.

Game 3 for the 2017 World Series will take place on Saturday in Houston. Lance McCullers will start for the Astros, and Yu Darvish for the Dodgers.
