Korea baseball rookies are currently rocking the international stadiums. The Korean 18U Baseball team overwhelmed their Cuban counterparts by 17-7 at Thunder Bay, Canada on Friday. On the Super Round of U18 Baseball World Cup, Korean youngsters slammed a total of 15 hits and gained an overwhelming victory by finishing in the eighth inning. During the six preliminary matches, Korea has collected a complete victory, scoring a whopping 62 points.

Cuban outfielders stepped back right in front of the fence for an all-out defense, as Korean young sluggers fired inning by inning. Their strategy was somewhat accurate, as Cuban players caught missed hits, which dropped between the infield and outfield zones.

Korean batters are overwhelming the other 11 participating national teams. Before playing against Cuba, six Korean sluggers recorded over 0.300. These players all show over 1.000 of OPS (On-base + slugging). Jang Joon-hwan at Yooshin High School, scored three points with two hits as the ninth batter at the match with Cuba, reaping the most home runs with the highest OPS at 1.413.
