Lewis was the winner in a duel between the two golfers, both of whom had long aspired to clinch a win. Lewis donated the entire prize money of 195,000 U.S. dollars from the event to help victims of Hurricane Harvey that hit the state of Texas. Lewis’ husband, who grew up in Texas since he was 11 years old, is the coach of the University of Texas’ female golf team. Her sponsor company, KPMG, has also decided to make a matching donation of the same amount to help flood victims.
