Marqus Blakely, an expat player of relatively short height at 192.5 centimeters who played as a substitute player with Mobis in the previous season, is officially joining the team.

In the KBL expat player draft held in Las Vegas, the U.S. on Thursday local time, Mobis coach Yoo Jae-hak chose Blakely as eighth priority, which was effectively fourth priority. When Nate Miller was injured, Mobis formulated teamwork with Blakely to display well-organized team play. Coach Yoo considered complete replacement with him, but failed to recruit the latter because the team was lagging behind KGC in eligibility to recruit him after the substitution period ended. After all, Blakely failed to move to KGC, and had to leave Korea. As a Mobis player, Blakely played in 11 games and displayed outstanding performances by posting 18.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists.

ET Land, which effectively became the first in eligibility rankings to recruit players, has chosen Josh Selby, a former NBA player. After picked by Memphis in the 2011 NBA draft, he participated in 38 games to score 2.2 points on average through 2013 before playing in the Turkish and Greek leagues. As Samsung, KGC, KCC have already renewed contracts with players who played at the previous season, those teams were not allowed to select players in the first round. Of the six players newly picked in the first round, four are 193 centimeters or shorter.
