Ms. Injection reminds us of Jeon Mi-seon who played the girlfriend of the detective in "Memories of Murder," a movie starring Song Kang-ho. In the movie, Song told Jeon, “I heard that people in this neighborhood come to you, not to a doctor, when they are sick.” Jeon, former nurse, helps the detective find clues about the murder by talking about what she heard from the people in the neighborhood while giving shots.

The independent counsel team found that Ms. Injection and Ms. Energy Healing frequently visited the presidential office based on text messages exchanged between Jeong Ho-seong, President Park’s former aide, and Lee Young-sun, a member of the presidential office, between May and June in 2013.

Ms. Injection, whose whereabouts the independent counsel team is seeking, is in her 70s, known as Ms. Baek in the affluent Gangnam area, and was previously sentenced to prison terms for practicing medicine illegally. President Park complained about the media for treating her like a criminal in the New Year’s meeting with journalists, saying, “A president can get a ‘nutrient injection’ if she is tired.’ If a president is tired, the president should ask the presidential physician to prescribe medicine – whether it be a placenta injection or a vitamin injection – to get it administered by a nurse officer. Then, why did President Park need Ms. Injection?

Ms. Baek might be also “Ms. Cosmetic Procedure” who conducts simple procedures involving Botox or fillers. In fact, Kim Young-jae, one of doctors suspected of treating the president, said in the hearing of the parliamentary investigation that the bruise on President Park’s face is apparently due to fillers, claiming that he did not conduct the procedure. If it was done neither by the presidential physician nor by Kim Young-jae, it would have been done by a third person who is likely to be Ms. Baek. Choi Soon-sil introduced Ms. Baek to the president. Since police crackdown on illegal injections, it should be a problem in case of President Park's receiving them.

President Park also got treatments from Ms. Energy Healing and Ms. Facial Acupressure Massage. Jeong, the former presidential aide, that energy healing is sort of an acupressure massage. President Park also got a facial acupressure massage to get rid of a puffy face from Ms. Park. Choi did not introduce her to the president and former presidents and first ladies are said to have also received service from Ms. Park. The presidential physician should rightly resign as various women took care of the president’s health conditions, a second-degree state secret.
