Korean tourists robbed by unidentified men in Paris

A group of Korean tourists in Paris was assaulted and robbed of their money and other articles by unidentified black men who boarded the bus.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, some 40 Korean tourists were attacked by four black men on their way back to hotel located in in the Seine-Saint-Denis suburb after they finished their tour around the Eiffel Tower. At around 9 p.m. on Saturday, the unidentified black men forcibly boarded the bus with objects that appeared to be Molotov cocktails in the hands and threatened the tourists to take away their passports, Eurostar tickets, and cash, among other things. With some children on board, the bus had turned into a hell for about 10 minutes. Shouting “Money! Money,” the attackers assaulted the tourists in the head.

“They stoned and shouted us to open the door, threatening with something that looked like Molotov cocktails,” Korean victims onboard testified. Fortunately, no one was reportedly seriously injured.

The South Korean Embassy in France met with a tourist guide who lead the Korean tourist group on Sunday and said that it would visit the local police office with the guide and make a request for a thorough investigation.

On the news that police officers who were cracking down on drug battered and raped a black man on Thursday, a series of protest and riots have been waging in all over Paris.
