Bookstores usually close around 9 p.m. but on the day of the event, they will open past midnight and by having closing hours up to the bookstores, some stores will open for 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Organizational Committee for the Year of the Book, 77 book stores across the country will participate on Friday, which is the first event of its kind. The organizing entities will receive additional applications every month and plan to increase the number of participating bookstore to more than 200 within this year.
