Various events to be held in June in downtown Seoul

There are various events in June at “Sejong-daero: a road without cars” in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. According to Seoul City, it will be providing a safety education for walking and riding bicycles with the Jongno Police Station on Sunday. People will be able to obtain a license for receiving education on riding bicycles if they get training at the experience corner for the performance exam of bicycle license. Traffic police experience events will also be held.

On June 10 and June 24, “a citizen’s book market of 1 pyeong” will be opened. A representative of a used book store will recommend books that people ought to read. A flee market where people can exchange books, book exhibition of the Cheonggye stream’s old books, and a corner for picking lifetime phrases will also be provided.

On June 17, “Seoul 365 Fashion Show” will be held on two occasions at 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. An event that celebrates the “UN World’s Yoga Day,” where some 3,000 people practice yoga and join together, will be held at 3:30 p.m. A skateboard contest awaits on June 24 as well.

The “Sejong-daero: a road without cars” is created by controlling the five-lane road headed towards the Sejong-daero intersection from the Gwanghwamun three-way intersection from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Sunday. It will operate until next month and resume in September after the scorching summer.
