KOTRA’s job fair offers 811 jobs in 15 countries

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) is holding a large scale global job fair to find jobs for young Koreans.

The 2018 Global Job Fair at Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX) in Seoul has been taking place from Monday as part of overseas employment support of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, along with Human Resources Development Service of Korea and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the two-day job fair,188 businesses from 15 countries will participate to offer 811 jobs. Japan sent the most number of companies to the event, 113 companies, which accounts for 60.1 percent of the fair, followed by 24 American companies (12.7 percent), 13 Australian companies (6.9 percent) and 10 Canadian companies (5.3 percent).

The event consists of interviews between businesses and job seekers, meetings with those who scored a job overseas, job consulting and recruitment fairs of international organizations such as the United Nations. Overseas businesses will interview candidates who passed resume screening at the fair. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international organizations will participate in the event for the first time to provide information about jobs at international organizations.
