The 15th international seminar for Korean educators hosted by the Educational Foundation for Korean Abroad ended on Saturday. Under the “Intellectual legacy in human history- Beautiful Hangeul (Korean alphabet)," 83 participants from 29 countries took part in the seminar, about 60 of whom are Korean educators and the rest of whom are foreign educators.

Beginning from July 17, the seminar held discussions over the future direction for Korean education and how scientific Hangeul is. At an academic forum for Korean educators abroad, presentations on “Subject of Korean Education for Undergraduates and Grown-ups” and “Subject for Elementary, Middle and High School Students” were made. Professors at Korean Language Institutes in Yonsei and Ewha universities offered an outreach lectures from the Korean Language Institutes, and had discussed policies for spreading Korean abroad and actual case of how Thailand has given Korean language education and its current status and future. On July 18 and 19, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference for Korean language educators. 

Aiming at enhancing qualification and specialty of Korean language educators abroad, exchanging teaching methods and building human network among educators, the Educational Foundation for Korean Abroad has been held since 2003.
