This fund will be used for the “Lean In,” a women’s human rights group named after Sandberg’s book, and the “Option B,” an organization to console those who have lost their loved ones. “Option B” is the title of her second book that she’s currently writing after “Lean In.”
Sandberg lost her husband Dave Goldberg, CEO of Survey Monkey, in May last year and trying to ease her sorrow by writing. She renamed her “Sheryl Sandberg Charity Fund” to the “Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Fund” to commemorate her husband.
