After Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s recorded conversation about sexually aggressive remarks went to public, Melania Trump issued a statement on October 7, saying it was not acceptable. Ms. Trump, who had been off-stage over the last 10 days, came forward to defend her husband.

In an interview with Fox News on Monday, Ms. Trump talked about her nude modelling photos previously published by the media during the campaign, saying it was only fair for her husband and the media to dig into Bill Clinton’s sexual assault.

In an interview with CNN on the same day, Ms. Trump said she told her husband that the language was inappropriate. In the meantime, she called the conversation “boy talk,” and asked the public to accept her husband’s apology as she did for him. She went on that Trump had been egged on by Billy Bush, the then Access Hollywood host during the exchange. Billy Bush, a cousin of former president George W Bush and former Florida governor Jeb Bush, was fired by NBC over the tape.

The Republican nominee has been claiming that there are some organized efforts by the mainstream media to hurt him to support Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. It has been reported that Trump is thinking about setting up his own TV network whether he wins or loses the presidential election.

The Hill, a U.S. political website, reported that Jared Kushner, owner of The New York Observer and husband of Trump’s eldest daughter Ivanka Trump, met with LionTree Advisors Chief Executive Aryeh Bourkoff, who is also a power broker, several times over the previous months to discuss setting up Trump’s TV network. CNBC and Vanity Fair also reported in June that Trump was trying to found a news channel and reached out to Ivanka and Kushner for their support.
