South Korean professional golfer Park Sung-hyun was just a fervent fan of Tiger Woods. While Park was waiting for the filming of a TaylorMade commercial at Medalist Golf Club in Florida on Wednesday (local time), the golf legend showed up without a prior notice. It was a surprise gift that TaylorMade planned for the 27-year-old golfer.

Aware of the fact that Park has considered Woods her role model since childhood, TaylorMade arranged a meeting between the two. In consideration of Woods' tight schedules, the equipment manufacturer selected a filming location near Woods' residence in Jupiter Island, Florida. Park lives in Orlando, about two hours' drive from Jupiter Island. A TaylorMade official said that its marketing teams in the U.S. and South Korea had long planned the project.

The two golfers posed for the commercials in a studio and on an outdoor golf course. Clips of the two posing together will be distributed television networks and social networking sites throughout the world.

Park won the LPGA Tour's Canadian Pacific Women's Open championship in 2017, wearing a red shirt that was reminiscent of Wood's trademark red polo shirts. She said she watched on TV how Woods got out of a long slump and won his 80th championship.

"I knew he would win again someday," the Korean golfer said. "I shed tears because I sympathized his struggles to win. I thought I would always try hard."
