Competition for rankings is getting fiercer in the PGA Tour this season with Justin Thomas, 25, making the competition even more exciting.

Thomas ascended to the top spot on the money list after winning the World Golf Championships (WGC)-Bridgestone Invitational on Monday, finishing at 15 under. By claiming his third PGA tour title this season, Thomas overtook Dustin Johnson to be ranked first on the money list with 7.55 million dollars. The prize money of Dustin Johnson, who fell behind by five shots to finish third at the WGC-Bridgestone, adds up to 7.22 million dollars.

Thomas, who surpassed Justin Rose of England to be ranked second on the Official World Golf Rankings, is following close behind Dustin Johnson (2,683 points) in the FedEx rankings with 2,536 points.
