Pre-order volume of LG Electronics' flagship strategic smartphone G6 has topped 40,000 units between March 2 and March 5.

LG touts that the popularity of its new phone comes as consumers were able to directly experience its usability and design through pre-sale experience groups and booths. The G6 experience zone has been in operation since February 27 at 3,000 places including stores of the three telecom service providers and large electronics goods stores. In particular, the G6 pre-sales experience group lottery event has attracted more than 200,000 people with competition rate of 1,000 to 1.

The benefits worth 450,000 won (390 dollars) in promotion were also a factor. LG offers all G6 pre-order customers 250,000 won (216 dollars) worth of benefits including free warranty for screen damage and original case. Furthermore, anyone buying the new device can purchase gifts worth a maximum 200,000 won (173 dollars) at 5,000 won (4.33 dollars). The G6 will be on sale in Korea on March 10 immediately after the end of pre-order sales at 899,800 won (780 dollars).
