Samsung Electronics ad, which had been aired in India, is creating a huge buzz online, recording a whopping 84 million view counts on YouTube in just 40 days.

According to Cheil, Samsung’s advertising agency, on February 8, Samsung Electronics posted ad tagged with “We will take care of you wherever you are” on YouTube in last December. So far, more than 84 million people watched the Cheil India’s ad.

The four-minute-long ad provides a heart-warming narrative to viewers through a story of a Samsung Electronics engineer. The Samsung engineer travels to fix a television at a house of visually challenged people in a remote mountain village. The film involves captivating scenes showing commitment and endeavor of the engineer making his efforts to get to the customer on time whenever faced with a series of challenges on his journey. When driving a van through a rocky slope and stopped by trees or a herd of sheep, the engineer never gives up and worries about being late. The engineer barely makes it in time and fix a television before an audition show begins where one of the house members is participating in as a contender. In the end, the engineer leaves the house as the voice echoes around. People in the house smile and dance altogether along with the voice played from a television.

“We are estimating 100 million views within February as a daily view count records more than 1 million,” Cheil said. There are only three or four ads in a year that clock more than 100 million views on YouTube.
