LG opens gifted children education center in Tehran

LG Electronics has opened "LG Gold Kids Education Center" in the Iranian capital Tehran. Initially opened in 2013, LG Gold Kids program has discovered and nurtured gifted children in collaboration with local NGOs and the University of Teheran in Iran. The LG Gold Kids Education Center has a floor space of about 200 sq. meters, comprises an IT room, an artifacts room, a discussion room and an exhibition room.

Children who are selected as LG Gold Kids can receive 10,000 hours of talent training and 1,800 hours of mentoring from experts in diverse fields including science, IT, arts and sports.

“We will make sure that gifted students and teenagers who are participating in the LG Gold Kids Program can receive systematic education in cozy environment,” said Ahn Deuk-soo, head of LG Electronics’ headquarter in Iran. “We will proactively put into practice corporate social responsibility through diverse community service activities.”
