SK Telecom announced on Monday that the video campaign called "connection through giving pats on the back," which the company designed to build bonds between individuals received 20 million views in total. This campaign, which has been in service for five weeks, allows the users to upload a video of seven seconds or pictures in the website (sktconnect.com) and send them to their family and friends through various channels including SNS.

The majority of the around 50 thousand users recorded themselves delivering cheerful and encouraging messages for their family and friends. Some of them uploaded pictures of places where they were travelling, delicious foods or their pets.

"As many videos were made to encourage people who are having a difficult time studying for university admission, seeking jobs, and preparing for national exams, the website has had 1.16 million visitors in total," SK Telecom remarked.

In particular, the web cartoon titled the "New Tale of Pats on the Back" by Kang Moo-sun has received 1.4 million hits. "The campaign has been successful in that it drew the users' attention and made them look for more videos," SK Telecom noted. "We will introduce more campaigns in the future with various forms and contents."
