Global leading companies are rushing to leverage artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies to make lucrative businesses. Of particular note is that they are adopting strategies to absorb various services and contents by using these two technologies.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed Tuesday (local time) at the annual developer meeting F8 2016 in San Francisco a chatting robot service “bots on Messenger.” This chat robot can have conversation with users through simple text, image and link button. Individuals can enjoy a new shopping experience that an AI recommends, while companies can replace existing call centers at a low cost.

The social network has also unveiled engines and tools to develop the chat robot, a strategy to attract outside developers to create various applications.

The company has also presented visions for VR and augmented reality for 10 years from now. It said that by using VR technology users would be able to share an experience where a person in a remote area would be in the same space, adding that a 360 degree camera system called “Surround 350” hardware and software will be made public for free.

Zuckerberg said many consumer electronics such as TVs that show pictures and videos will be replaced by 1 dollar apps at an AR app store, adding that though it will take a considerable time Facebook will materialize this imagination within the next 10 years.
