Samsung’s Galaxy S7 series have been sold 30 percent, 20 percent, and 10 percent more than its predecessor Galaxy S6 in the U.S., Western Europe, and China, respectively.

According to a report by Counterpoint Research, a global technology market research agency, the number of sales of the new Galaxy model has exceeded 10 million, recording 25 percent higher performance compared to the first-month figure of the preceding model.

The report particularly highlighted the model’s succeed in the U.S. market. Major carriers and distributors of the country’s communications industry are carrying out aggressive promotion activities, such as giving out VR headset free to Galaxy S7 purchasers or even a buy-one-get-one deal. Surprisingly, the new phone has not seen a significant increase in sales in its hometown, South Korea.

“The Galaxy S7 series managed to provide a substantially enhanced grip through delicate design,” said an analyst from the research agency. "The upgraded camera functions, expandable memory, the waterproof feature, and the lowered price all contributed to appealing to consumers.”
