Kia Motors has officially launched its new K7 Cadenza model on Tuesday. Target sales of the new model is 75,000, more than twice the record last year (32,969).

“Our sales target is 75,000 including 50,000 domestic sales,” said Kim Chang-sik, executive vice president of the company. "The new model will be sold abroad from the second half of this year, starting from Africa and the Middle East. It is expected to be launched in the U.S. in September."

The biggest competitors of the new car are Lexus ES350, Toyota Avalon, Hyundai Grandeur and Aslan, GM Korea Impala. "The new K7 is 50 millimeters longer in length and 35 millimeters longer in the distance of axle than ES350, and has 20 percent higher torsional capacity than Avalon," said Hwang Jeong-ryeol, managing director at Kia.

Peter Schreyer, president and chief design officer at Hyundai Motor Group, said that the design focused on showing off its charismatic and sophisticated traits. The tiger-nose shaped radiator grill with vertical patterns and the alphabet "Z" mark on the head lamp and the rear lamp are signatures of the design.
