SK Group donated 12 billion won to a local charity to help the underprivileged in our society. Choi Kwang-cheol, head of SK Group’s SUPEX Council, on Friday met with Community Chest of Korea Chairman Ye Jong-suk at the charity fund’s headquarters in Seoul and delivered the donation. SK Group has been making donations every year for 20 years from 1999.

SK is also carrying out various philanthropic activities to help the disadvantaged get through the winter. On Nov. 29, it purchased 58,000 heads of kimchi made by eight social enterprises and donated them to some 1,000 social welfare centers across the nation. SK also donated the proceeds from its month-long bazaar called “SK Happiness Sharing Charity Bazaar” that ended on Dec. 18 and additional contribution from the company worth 250 million won to the Korea Food for the Hungry International.
