Hyundai Mobis, the largest auto parts maker in Korea, will participate in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that takes place on January 9 in Las Vegas, showcasing its latest technologies for future vehicles.

CES is the biggest global consumer electronics tradeshow. As the boundaries between industries, such as consumer electronics, information communications technology (ICT), and automobile electrical and electronics systems, are blurring, global mobile carriers, carmakers, and auto parts companies have also started to take part in the annual tradeshow.

Under the slogan of “New Mobility Experience,” Hyundai Mobis will display its latest technologies, including biometrics identification, intelligent virtual assistance and vehicle to grid (V2G) in its 445-square-meter booth.

The automotive parts manufacturer, for the first time in Korea, has developed the bi-directional on-board charger (OBC) technology for electric vehicles, which is key to the implementation of V2G.

The company plans to have a presentation to offer a detailed explanation of its technologies at the tradeshow. “We are planning to unveil our technology roadmaps, including autonomous driving and eco-friendly vehicle technologies and infotainment,” the company said Thursday.
