LG Electronics has recently installed its world's largest OLED signage in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The signage placed at Dubai Mall has been listed on the Guinness Book of World Records as the "World's largest OLED screen." The 50-meter-long and 14-meter-high signage (700 square meters) is comprised of 820 55-inch OLED panels, and is larger than four volleyball courts. The 1.7 billion pixels can be aligned to stretch to 11 kilometers. A pixel is 0.00647 wide.

Thanks to its thin, light and curvy attributes, OLED can be designed in various shapes. The signage is also shaped in smooth wave-like design to go well with the top of the aquarium. Furthermore, unlike the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), OLED is best used in signage, as it shows no color distortions at any angles thanks to its technology which requires no backlight and self-emitting diode.
