North Korea is stepping up psychological warfare against South Korea to cause domestic conflict ahead of the April 13 general elections in the South. The Anti-imperialist and (Korean) People and Democracy Frontier, the organization devoted to South Korean revolution under the Workers’ Party of North Korea, said Saturday, “Let’s make the elections as an occasion to make judgment that finalizes the sins and crimes against the (Korean) people by the Saenuri Party." It also claimed that an anti-Saenuri candidate campaign should be staged, while announcing election slogans, such as "Let’s hand a heavy sentence of destruction to Park Geun-hye and the Saenuri Party, which are against public sentiment.”

The North’s labor union Korean Occupational Union, the Social Democratic Party, a government-sponsored political party, and the (Korean) People’s Reconciliation Council urged to launch a "joint anti Park Geun-hye struggle." They issued a statement saying that workers and people from all walks of life in South Korea join hands to destroy plots for belligerent provocations of the U.S. imperialists and the Park Geun-hye faction.

The North is also beefing up threats of provocations to blame the South for collapse of inter-Korean relations and to negatively influence the elections in the South. In its "final ultimatum" on the same day, the Grand Combat Line Union Unit's long-range artillery squad under the People's Army threatened launch precision strike at the South Korean presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae, while demanding that the South publicly execute the person in charge and President Park Geun-hye apologize for the South Korean Air Force’s drill for precision strike at the North’s key facilities on March 21.
