Conclusive evidence behind the death of Kim Jong Nam, older half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, has been discovered. The Malaysian police announced that VX nerve agent was found in Kim’s body. VX agent, which is a type of chemical weapon, is listed as weapons of mass destruction by the United Nations. Accordingly, the international community has agreed to stop production of VX agent. VX agent is the deadliest poison gas ever created, and it is 100 times more toxic than nerve gas sarin. The Malaysian Police has requested its Atomic Energy Board to clean up VX agent that could possibly be left at airport or hospital.

The North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was not afraid of using a chemical weapon, which is banned by the international community, to kill his own brother. After the story was revealed, North Korea is infamously branded as a terrorist regime. Furthermore, North Korea’s absurd and ridiculous claims such as “shock death of Republic’s citizen” or “conspiracy orchestrated by South Korea” became groundless. The incident could have become a cold case. However, decisive evidence was found and it has been revealed that even diplomats engaged in the killing of Kim Jong Nam systematically. It became obvious that the assassination of Kim was not organized by a terrorist group but by the North Korean government in other country’s territory.

“If Malaysia officially says that North Korea is related to the killing of Kim, it would mean North Korea’s infringement of Malaysia’s sovereignty,” said South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se on Friday. The international law clearly prohibits terrorism in other country’s territory. For instance, Burma (Myanmar) broke off diplomatic ties with North Korea after North Korea’s terrorist bombing in Burma in 1983. It looks possible that the Malaysian government will cut diplomatic ties with North Korea. Worse, it is only a matter of time before the U.S Congress lists North Korea as a terror sponsor nation.

U.S. President Donald Trump made comments about the political status surrounding the Korean peninsula that it was ”very dangerous situation.” Regarding any possibility to meet Kim Jong Un, Trump criticized Kim in the strongest term possible, saying, “We are very angry and it may be very late” on February 23. Trump also mentioned China that China can clear up North Korean problems very easily and demanded China to play its role. In the meantime, North Korea even went further and criticized the Chinese government, which has been a shield to Pyeongyang. As for China’s decision to halt coal imports, North Korea blatantly criticized China that Beijing had no convictions and weakened by the U.S. North Korean nuclear weapon is one of the top priorities at the Trump administration. Accordingly, it looks highly likely that the Trump administration will come up with new sanctions on North Korea earlier than expected. North Korea seems to have chosen a path to isolation. We never know what North Korea will do when it is cornered.
