The crimped hair that is fairly abundant comparing to his age is the trademark of U.S. President Donald Trump (71). The New York Times reported on Thursday that the secret behind his healthy hair was a prostate-related drug to promote hair growth.

The New York Times reported an interview with Dr. Harold Bornstein (69) who was Trump’s longtime physician since 1980. Dr. Bornstein said that President Trump takes medication for four ailments, including Propecia to treat baldness. This drug was originally designed to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia but found to be effective in promoting hair growth during the development process and now is better known as a hair loss solution.

The other drugs are antibiotics to control rosacea, a skin condition characterized by facial redness, a statin for elevated blood cholesterol and lipids, and an aspirin to reduce the risk of a heart attack. The NYT asked to confirm‎ the information provided by Dr. Bornstein but White House officials did not make any comment on that and would not say whether he is still Mr. Trump’s physician.

Dr. Bornstein added, “Simply put, Mr. Trump is in excellent physical health.” However, he expressed discontent as the White House did not contact him yet. Only two former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush brought their own doctors to the White House. Others have used White House physicians.
