Walkerhill Hotel opens capsule hotel at Incheon Int’l Airport

A new capsule hotel will be opened at the Incheon International Airport. Walkerhill Hotel has opened a capsule hotel, with 60 rooms, named the Darak Hyu, on the first floor of the airport’s transportation center.

“The Darak Hue is the nation’s first capsule hotel within the airport for passengers who have to transit or to travel to regions at late nights, hard time using public transportation,” Walkerihill Hotel said. The Darak Hue is the second hotel that Walkerhill operates at the Incheon International Airport. The hotel has been running a transit hotel since 2001 in Duty Free Area of the airport.

Room rates range from 7,700 to 12,000 won per hour depending on room types with a stay of at least three hours required. Travelers should pay 4,000 won per hour when staying more than 3 hours. The Darak Hue has four types of rooms including single bed (4.3 m²), double bed (5.3 m²), single bed with shower facility (6.0 m²) and double bed with shower facility (7.6 m²).

Travelers can book, check-in and check-out by their smart phones and adjust the room temperature and lighting. Walkerhill said that each room is equipped with luxury mattress, individual heating and cooling system, noise isolation system, Bluetooth speaker and offers wireless Internet access.
