Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich visits DMZ

Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich has showed her affection on Korea during her visit to the country.

Jovovich and her husband and movie director Paul Anderson cam to Korea to promote their movie "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter 2017," which will be released on January 25, and visited the DMZ and Panmunjom Saturday. With her keen interest in Korea, the actress requested the visit to DMZ and Panmunjom, according to UPI Korea

During her tour, Jovovich has expressed sorrow over the division of the two Koreas, and wrote in a guest book that it was her honor to visit the place, while sending appreciation to the people working there. Despite cold weather, they toured various parts of DMZ, talked with soldiers and also took pictures while sending words of encouragement.

Before visiting DMZ, Jovovich went to Insa-dong to look at Korean traditional ceramics and enjoyed taking selfies with fans on the street, according to various postings on the social media.

At the press conference on Friday, the actress said her daughter is learning Taekwondo since she was three years old, adding she herself is fond of martial arts. She also noted that her affection on Korea started with Taekwondo but she now likes Korean food very much.

In her first ever visit to Korea, Jovovich stayed here for four days which included a press conference and a red carpet event, before leaving to the U.S. on Sunday. On her way for departure, she said next time she will come back with her daughter.
