Culture Minister Cho Yoon-sun has reappointed National Theater of Korea CEO Ahn Ho-sang and Korean National Ballet Artistic Director Kang Sue-Jin for three years.

With the reappointment, Ahn Ho-Sang became the longest servicing CEO of the theater, serving for eight years since the theater was designated as an executive agency. The CEO is a senior level post of the government under the open position system. The Ministry of Personnel Management announced for recruitment of the post and 26 people submitted their applications. The ministry has stopped almost all activities of cultural administration due to negative sentiments in the culture community on the cultural the Minister Yoon for appointing a new figure as she was suspected of directly engaged in creating a blacklist of cultural figures.
