Claims have been made from Australia that Apple's "iPhone 7" exploded, while production of Samsung Electronic's smartphone "Galaxy Note 7" discontinued due to battery explosions. The claim came as the second report followed by the first claim on explosion in China earlier this month.

According to foreign media, an iPhone 7 inside the car exploded, claimed the surfing instructor Mat Jones in Sydney, Australia. "I left my one-week-old iPhone 7 underneath a pile of clothes in my car, and found out the interior was burning as I finished my class," Jones said. "I used an Apple battery charger, never dropped it, and the iPhone just exploded."

He also filmed a movie clip, which shows the melted iPhone, his pair of pants that wrapped his phone, and the half-burnt passenger seat.

Apple refused to comment on the matter, but Apple reportedly contacted Mr. Jones and started their investigation
