U.S. media is clashing over the first U.S. presidential TV debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump. There are even comments that the TV debate ushered the media to step right into the presidential election.

Pro-Clinton liberal press viewed the first debate as an overwhelming victory for Clinton. Basis for such landslide can be found from CNN’s poll held to 521 U.S. citizens right after the first TV debate took place on Monday. When asked which candidate did better, Clinton received a whopping 62 percent of support, over twice more than that of Trump’s 27 percent.

MSNBC network explicitly sided with Clinton, arguing that only Clinton is eligible as the next president. The New York Times is also continuing to spotlight “rising Clinton, falling Trump” one day after the debate. Not a day passes in New York Times, with blatant columns blasting to Trump as “the one who should never be president.”

Conservative media, however, is reporting in a very different manner. Fox News commented that liberal press including CNN and New York Times argue that Clinton won, but on-line poll results show a distinctively different view, and refuted that Trump (52 percent) is 4 percentage points ahead of Clinton (48 percent) after the on-line Drudge Report poll taken by over 1.3 million of likely voters. It also reported that an on-line vote taken by Fox News showed a wide gap between the two candidates, with Trump leading the race at 50 percent while Clinton behind at 35 percent.
