The 2016 Paris Motor Show, one of the world’s four major auto shows, opened Thursday (local time) with a press day. Global automakers have unveiled a variety of concept cars boasting new technologies.

Hyundai Motor Co. revealed a teaser image of the RN30 concept of its high-performance brand “N.” The Korean carmaker showcased 20 models at a 2,013-square-meter space.

The RN30 is a racing concept featuring a two-liter turbo engine based on the design of the new i30 and boasting 380 horsepower. Albert Biermann, Hyundai's head of vehicle testing and high performance development, said that the RN30 embodies the concept of a strong, high-performance car that brings dynamic, sporty driving. Hyundai also had separate spaces for its eco-friendly lineups including the Ionic hybrid and electric vehicles and the Tucson hydrogen-electric cars and for its luxury brand “Genesis.”
