Elizabeth Taylor fell in love with Richard Burton while filming Cleopatra in 1963, and they ditched their spouse and got married, which was denounced by the Vatican. Their equivalent today would be Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. After 10 years of marriage, Cruise and Kidman split up. Pitt and Jolie departed recently after their 12-year relationship.

Jolie is an actress who is not only beautiful and sexy but also intellectual and puts things into action. Her thick bee-stung lips are as attractive as Kirk Douglas’s cheeks and Bette Davis’ eyes. She is known for many tattoos and one of them is, “Quod me nutrit, me destruit,” a Latin phrase meaning, “What nourishes me, also destroys me.” She has served as the Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Refugee Agency for 16 years. In 2012, she underwent a preventive double mastectomy to deter breast cancer and disclosed it to the public.

Some say that Pitt and Jolie split up because he fell in love with French actress Marion Cotillard, but it has not been confirmed. Before living with Jolie, he was the husband of Jennifer Aniston. Not all handsome actors have affairs. Gary Cooper, an iconic movie star in High Noon, was an exemplary husband who married to one actress for 32 years. Humphrey Bogart of Casablanca – some may argue that he is not handsome but he is a great actor – married to actress Lauren Bacall and became a committed husband.

Jolie has six children – one who she adopted before marriage, three biological children with Pitt, and two children who she adopted with Pitt. The adoptees are from Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam. She loved her family so much that she brought her children to the movie set. She claimed her custody of all of her children. As there were few divorced actresses who have six children, it makes me wonder how her life will unfold.
